Hi! I’m Rosie! I’m in graduate school in one of the most amazing cities on the planet: San Francisco. I have been really interested in creative cooking (on the cheap) since college when I was a food editor for our school newspaper.
Living in SF (where the average home costs $1 million) has made my desire to cook and eat challenging within my budget. Over the past three years I have picked up some tips & skills about cooking and eating out here that have served me well! I recently married my best friend, Eric the Engineer, who believes that eating “cheap” in San Fran means sandwiches, sandwiches and sandwiches. Did I mention sandwiches? You are wrong, Eric, and I’m going to prove it!
I am dedicating this blog to him, hoping that I can teach him how cooking cheap can be possible even if you live in San francisco and work 12 hour days (like both of us often do). I am also hopeful this blog will help others our same situation: cheap, hungry and living in the million dollar city!
